The Solace personal health record (also referred to as a profile) is a collection of health information and documents that would be of value to first responders or loved ones in a medical emergency. Accurate, up-to-date information is very important. More information is always better than less. The profile has been designed to make the capture of important health information simple and complete. Information you want known to health care professionals is constructed in your terms, not complicated medical terms. The ability to enter and present this information in printed form is available to everyone at no cost.

These are real concerns in today's world of information availability on our computer and from the Internet. The designers of the Solace software and its associated services have taken every precaution to protect your information. Only you can provide access to profile information on your computer or on the Health InfoSTAT web server. The list below itemizes information security measures we have incorporated into Solace and the Health InfoSTAT service.
- All information contained in a Solace profile is encrypted. Solace is the only software product able to decrypt the information and access the profile
- Your information is securely encrypted during the purchase and upload processes. When using the web-based service, the profile content is fully encrypted
- All information on our web server is maintained in an encrypted form. Health InfoSTAT software is the only method available to unlock content on our server
- Access is limited through a Solace Member ID and Password. Each profile on a computer or available through the web service requires the password you define in your profile. There can be several passwords each of which permit access to specific information for emergency responders, spouse/intimate, or family members
- Access to your profile information using our web service limits the display of sensitive identity information. For example, only your age (not date of birth) and last four digits of your Social Security Number (optional) are displayed
- Privacy is also a large concern. Our Privacy Policy, Solace License Agreement and service Terms of Use documents are readily available on the website www.healthinfostat.com. Specifics of information security and service availability are in these documents and may be reviewed at any time

Solace is designed to take advantage of the Internet in order to simplify your use of the product and service. If available, the Internet will be accessed for the following reasons:
- Check for software updates: We want to insure you have the most recent product with current updates and enhancements. Updates are performed during the Solace startup. A list of updates are displayed for your review.
- Purchase Health InfoSTAT service memberships: Purchasing memberships requires an account and payment method be established. Multiple memberships can be purchased through a single account (person paying the membership fee). The account credit card information you provide is always encrypted. Solace Membership IDs are then downloaded to your computer and available for assignment during uploading. Multiple account purchases may also be made at any time in the future.
- Upload, Download and Import profiles: Once Solace Membership IDs have been assigned to a profile, you may Upload or Download your profile via the Health InfoSTAT server. You also gain the ability to download your profile to a new computer. All information is encrypted and secure when transferred over the Internet.
- Access to Help: The Help menu provides access to Online Help, a Satisfaction Survey (we want to know about your experience with our product ands service) and Feedback form (email questions and comments to Health InfoSTAT).

Subscribing to the Health InfoSTAT service is the process of purchasing Solace Member IDs (SMIs) and unlocking the ability to upload your personal health records to our secure server. This allows access to your critical information in case of emergency. It is also a private, secure backup for all of your important documents and personal health information. The membership fee covers a 12 month period. You have the ability to use a variety of electronic payment methods. You will also have the option to automatically renew subscriptions in the future.
